8 Instagram App Alternatives for Windows Phone
We all love to post images of what we see, eat and things which sometimes make others go crazy. Instagram is one such service which leads this craziness though the greatest place it lands up on is Twitter or Facebook. After lot of buzz made by the Instagraph app, which found it way to post to Instagram via a hack, we expect the client to show up soon.
However if all you want filters for your images and keep posting it to Twitter or Facebook, here are some great alternatives to Instagram App which let you do the same. We picked them based on Rating, Filters and ability to post them to Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Lomogram:
This is another high rated app which brings in 42 filters, 72 lightning effects and 49 borders. Editing a picture is a breeze here with predefined areas to crop ( 1.:1 to 9:16 ratio). You can post to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and Vk. Photos can be saved automatically to the library when you choose to post them to social networks.
Those who want to also save the original images can configure the setting accordingly. This is the best app in this series which has most features and is free.
Lazylens:
Even though this app has received the least attention, extraordinary work has been done when building it. It is the most “Metroish” app for Photo Editing, Adding Filters and most convenient to use.
When you launch the app, it displays recent pictures from your library arranged in Tiled Mosaic format. There is a big camera tile which directly launches the camera.
You can apply 23 amazing pre-sets after selecting any picture and view them live. Adjustments can be done to picture in form of Cropping, Tilt-Shift, Contrast control, Brightness, Saturation level and Auto Fix.
After applying filter and edits, you can choose to save photos in HD and share your photo via Twitter, Facebook, VK or Flickr.

PhotoPlay:
Similar to Instagram service, this app lets you post on http://photoplay.net/. The app is pretty basic with comes with set of filters which counts to 8. Odd thing is none of them are named properly but the previews help you understand it.
- Allows you select Portrait, Landscape Mode or even smaller.
- Vignette lets you get the main object in focus.
- Control brightness and contrast.
- Lets you Blur background. This can be done using circular or rectangular frame.
The app is built in such a way that anybody can make use of it. Once connected to Facebook and Twitter, posting is fast with option to choose privacy of the picture.

#2InstaWithLove:
This app was introduced by Nokia to pitch Instagram to get their app to Windows Phone. Photographs take are posted to http://2instawithlove.com .
The drawback of the app is that filters are applied automatically and it only allows you to select a part of the picture which is at the centre. However, you can share to Facebook and Twitter using Windows Phone Me Tile very quickly.

SophieLens:
It comes with total of 29 Filters if you buy the pro version. By default there are 5 Default Filters (Cinematic, Flare, Mayfair, Roid, XPro) while Lumia Users get Lomo Pack free which includes another 10 filters. Pro version adds another 14 filters.
The filters applied to the pictures are live i.e. you get what you see and are saved locally on your phone. There is no option to edit the photo which is its biggest drawback. Users who buy the regular app can get to see preview of the Pro Filters but cannot capture and save it.

SoMee
One of the few apps which brings in amazing filters and powerful editing capability. It comes with 30 filters, 30 light leaks and integration with Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. This simply means any comment made to those pictures will receive a notification on your app.
Other Features:

- Option to apply multiple effects and light leaks means you can be as creative as you can.
- Native integration with Windows Phone i.e. support gestures, access to Picture Hub and Photo viewer.
- Add your request to Uservoice support.

Instacam:
This is the first unofficial app for Instagram which lets you view pictures on Instagram but cannot share them on Instagram. Instead, it lets you share them on other social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
The app comes with 26 Effects, 12 Frames and 9 Predefined filters. You can apply more than one effect with option of basic editing. Integrates with picture hub. The only advantage of using this app is it lets you view photos and Instagram as well.

EyeEm:
It’s another impressive app which is done really well. Takes full advantage of the modern development which you feel while using it. It comes with 11 photo filters which can be shared over Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Foursquare & Tumblr.
The uniqueness of the app shows up when you are about to post it. The app uses your current location to tag to let you add text to picture which can be like “Taking Photos At National Museum”.
This concept is taken to next level when you can actually see how many people are using the same tag at the same location in your city. These tags ultimately become your albums.
