Instagraph—Instagram App for Windows Phone Released

Recently we had covered about a third party app, called Instagraph which allows Windows Phone users to upload photos to Instagram. The app has been published to the Windows store and is now available for download. You can now easily edit and share your favorite photos on Instagram from your Windows Phone using this app.

Since this is an unofficial app, there are few restrictions on the app. Firstly, the images are not instantly published to Instagram, instead they are queued on Instagraph’s servers and then published as soon as possible depending on the traffic.

As of now there is a limit to the number of daily uploads from an account, which is now 3 per user in order to guarantee a fast publish time. Once the upgrading of server infrastructure is complete, you might see better upload options. The filters are provided by Aviary and they are similar to Instagram’s filters

Features of the app;

  • Sign in to your existing Instagram account
  • Select a picture from your album or take a photo with the camera
  • Apply one of the awesome filters powered by Aviary editor
  • Share your image to the Instagram network

The app costs $2.49 with no trial option and this is justified by the fact that Instagraph requires high end servers to manage the uploading of photos and providing a free version might not be feasible at this stage.
