Karbonn to Launch Windows Phone in India this Quarter
Among one of the major OEM’s in India, Karbonn holds a strong market in India when it comes to low end phone. The phone maker now has confirmed that they will be launching their Windows Phone version this quarter. This could be anywhere in between July to September.
Karbonn is also planning to launch completely localised version which in short means, you will see lot of local apps pre-installed on the phone. In recent months, Windows Phone India efforts have brought lot of local services on Windows Phone including banks, cab services and so on.
Price for Karbonn Windows Phone:
The company is planning to launch three Windows Phone and is targeting low end and mid range market as they will be priced between 8000 and 15000. India is listed as third top country as per reports giving the local player more edge. Microsoft move to make Windows Phone Licence free is finally attracting OEM to build Windows Phone.
Recently Micromax Launched their Canvas WIN series for Windows Phone and left a positive impression on the market. We expect the same from Karbonn. Android is already very popular in India and with companies like ASUS, XIOMI coming with powerful and quality phone, the OEMs for Windows Phone better plan for it well.
