Latest Xbox One Preview Alpha Build gets Light Theme

If you had always wanted a light theme on your Xbox One, the last Xbox Preview Alpha Build(rs3_release_xbox_dev_1710.170831-1900) has rolled it out for the games. You can switch between light, and dark mode by visiting the personalization settings. Settings > Personalization > System personalization > System theme > Select Light.

While this is the major highlight of the update, there are few more enhancements. The first one is Game invites have a new home, and instead of being at the Action Center, they will be now available under Multiplayer tab of the Guide. The same is being done to the recent achievements. This makes a lot of sense if you have tons of notifications cluttering your action center which includes messages, system and so on. The second is Sign-in using the using Arabic or Hebrew language.

Apart from these, there are major bug fixes. One which messes the sign-in option, failure to launch Netflix, other games failing to launch after Minecraft, Blu-Ray player issue, and game hub.

If your console is set to download the update automatically in Instant-On mode, the update should be already downloading, but if you do it manually, you will need to navigate to All Settings > System > Updates. It is better to download the update right away instead of being forced and interrupt your gameplay. More here
