At the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Microsoft announced new OEM partners and there were quite a lot of new players from India. We already saw Windows Phone from Micromax, XOLO, Karbonn and also recently launched Celkon Mobiles. Now it seems Lava is also preparing to launch its first Windows Phone named Lava Iris Win. Back in March, we reported that Lava was planning to launch Windows Phone with a pricing of Rs 6500.

Updated: Lava just posted a teaser of upcoming Windows Phone . Our Guess was right!!
In a recent newsletter sent to affiliate members, Flipkart mail mentions about an exclusive phone from Lava called Iris Win. Generally the name “Win” is used by Windows Phone OEMs in India. So going by that standard, we expect Lava Iris Win to launch in December.
As of now we do not have any specifications, but again going by Windows Phones in budget category expect a 4 or 4.5 inch device with Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. The launch might happen in December as the newsletter from Flipkart states. This phone would compete with Lumia 530, Micromax Canvas Win W191, Karbonn Wind W4 and also Celkon Win 400.
