Lava TwinPad Active Stylus Review

Lava TwinPad, which we reviewed recently, comes with an accessory–Active Stylus–which is a Pen for those who would love to draw,  to take take notes on their tablet. After a lot of request from you all, , we finally got our hands on, and used it for approximately 15 days. Check it out in action at the end of the post, and here is what I think about it

Build & Design:

It looks like a small black pen which is half the size of a standard pencil with metal build. It comes with a clip which tucks in well in your pocket. I dropped the pen couple of times, and it did well there. When it comes to weight, its weighted well which  helps in drawing and writing. It is little heavier than a regular pencil, but almost the same when compared to a standard pen. Coming to grip, it has textured built which I prefer over fine finish which would have resulted in slips.

Pressure sensitivity:

The pen has ability to draw thicker or thinner lines, depending on how hard you press the stylus down. This is particularly useful if you draw or want to emphasise something in your notes.  The nib can move back and forth a little bit which gives you a feel of real pen nib, and adds to the pressure point.

Palm rejection:

While using the Stylus, you can rest your pam and draw like you would do with a normal pencil. I used the app with Fresh Paint app,  and it did well. One thing you will need to do is not use the stylus straight up, instead hold it like a normal pencil resting between your thumb and finger.

Buttons :

The pen houses two oval shaped buttons which can be used to switch colours, or use as an eraser. The functionally is limited, and there is no way to customise it.

The Stylus costs Rs 999 which IMO is a great deal if you want to own one with your Lava TwinPad. Go for it. Buy from Amazon.IN
