Lenovo announces SoftBank 503LV, A New Mid-Range Windows 10 Mobile
Lenovo has been doing quite well with their phones in the Android market, providing high end specifications and performance for people who doesn’t want to spend over 15k on a smartphone. However, this news comes as a surprise as Lenovo had no plans to launch a Windows 10 Mobile device anytime soon.
Today in Japan, the company announced Softbank 503LV – a brand new smartphone from Lenovo running Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile OS. The company has teamed up with Microsoft Japan and SoftBank to manufacture the device, hence the name Softbank 503LV. The device has pretty decent specifications as we don’t know about the pricing yet. So can’t say much about it.

However, looking at the specifications:
- Softbank 503LV comes with 5-inch HD display
- The device is quite thin as it has a thickness of only 7.66mm
- 3 GB RAM
- An Octa- Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.5GHz
- The device is said to be 32 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB through Micro SD Card
- It packs a 2250mAh battery
- It has an 8 MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera
- Connectivity: 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0
- Weight: 144 grams
The device supports Continuum for Phones, thanks to Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. The device is said to be targeted towards business customers. And will go on sale in late October but the price remains unknown. Looking at the specifications it can be said that it will be a mid-range phone priced around INR 10 – 15k (around $150 -200).
