Lenovo Launches Three VR-ready PCs running Windows 10 for Gamers
Looks like Gamescom is not just about the game announcement, but we are also noticing a lot of Windows 10 PC, and Desktop announcements as well. Today, Lenovo has announced three VR-ready PCs running Windows 10 under Lenovo Legion brand–Y920, Y720 and Y520 Towers. There is also a Lenovo Legion Y25f Gaming Monitor announced along with them. The only thing raises eyebrows is why these PCs aren’t powered by Intel’s 8th Generation processor.
Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower: Game Mode (Hard)
- This is for serious PC gamers.
- It is powered by 7th Gen Intel Core™ i7-7700K quad-core processors
- When it comes to GPU, you get a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB graphics card.
- There is an optional 32GB 2800Mhz CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX overclockable DDR4 memory
- You can also choose to take integrated Asetek liquid cooling to overclock your CPU
This is priced at $1,999.99 and will be available from October 2017.
Lenovo Legion Y720 Tower: Game Mode (Medium)
- If you cannot pickup the serious gaming PC, this version is something to lookout for.
- It houses a 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7700
- You can choose up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB graphics and optional 16GB Intel Optane memory for improved performance.
This is priced at almost half at $999.99, and will be available from October 2017.
Lenovo Legion Y520 Tower: Game Mode (Easy)
- This is for casual gamers who would like to get a taste of gaming, and aren’t looking for some hardcore performance.
- This houses aNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU and up to a 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7700 processor
- It also includes Lenovo Entertainment Hub, which gives you access to popular video game codes with VR upscaling on select FPS games.
- You can upgrade it as well.
This is priced at $899.99, and starts selling from October 2017
Lenovo Legion Y25f Gaming Monitor: Game Mode (Bonus)
If you already have an awesome gaming rig and want to upgrade your monitor, this might just fit in. It’s a 24.5-inch FHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also capable of new HDR capabilities including 400 nits of brightness, and a near-frameless display. The response time is 1 ms which is pretty extreme to make sure there is little to no lag.
