LinkedIn App for Asha 501 hits the store

Looks like Nokia is keeping up its promise to roll out more and more apps for Nokia Asha 501 and after Here Maps, it’s time for LinkedIn App for all professional who opted to pickup up Asha 501 and other touch based Asha devices (305, 306, 308, 309, 310 and 311).  It’s available for the following languages English, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

Features of LinkedIn App :

  • Timeline or the Stream: Similar to Twitter or Facebook, the app streams all the latest updates and information that’s being shared by your friends in their timeline. Since this is LinkedIn, I am sure most of the professionals will not put something which takes professionalism other way round.
  • Your personal inbox where you can accept connection requests and communicate with your contacts.
  • Nothing is complete without Search: You can search across the LinkedIn Network and find out if you are looking for a particular skill set or person.
  • Your Own Profile: Track who is keeping an eye on your profile, view how your profile looks like and if somebody looks interesting, connect with them right away.

Even though the app has been announced as available for Nokia Asha 501, it does not seem to be available as of now. I tried searching but the official app did not show up. The link to the LinkedIn app is here

I really wish Nokia Connect software was working with Asha 501 but that doesn’t work and there is no way to use Nokia Suite or Nokia Drop to install it as of now. I will post a video along with my app experience here, once it is available.
