List of Xbox 360 Games that will Run on Xbox One

During the Microsoft press event at E3 2015, the company declared that Xbox One will be able to play Xbox 360 games. The support for that will start rolling out for the Xbox One preview members and is being achieved using an Xbox 360 emulator running in Xbox One.

In an official post, Xbox also shared list of games that will start working right away on the console from today:

  • BattleBlock Theater
  • Defense Grid
  • Geometry Wars Evolved

  • Jetpac Refuelled
  • Kameo
  • Mass Effect
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • Small Arms
  • Super Meat Boy
  • Toy Soldiers
  • Toy Soldiers: Cold War

The game support is being expanded to over 100 games and more.  The digital titles that you own and are part of the Back Compat game catalog will automatically show up in the “Ready to Install” section on your Xbox One. For disc-based games that are a part of the Back Compat game catalog, simply insert the disc and the console will begin downloading the game to your hard drive. After the game has finished downloading, you will still need to keep the game disc in the drive to play.

Those who have Xbox Gold membership, will be able to enjoy the advanced features of your Xbox One like Game DVR, Screenshots and Windows 10 streaming and play multiplayer as well.
