Nokia today announced Lumia 2520 which is their first Windows RT Tablet and taking the competition right to Microsoft which recently announced Windows Surface 2. Following the design pattern of Nokia Lumia, 2520 is a 10.1 inch tablet with 1080p display and comes in beautiful red, white, cyan, and black. Those who crave for networks, 2520 supports 4G for faster speed.

Display : 10.1 Inch screen with clear black and IPS LCD. This makes sure that you can read texts even in bright sunlight. The screen is also capable of multipoint touch. The screen is built using the Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2 with Wide viewing angle to make sure everybody gets to read whats on your screen i.e. when watching a movie. PPI for this display is 228

First Impressions:

Overall the device does look good because of the hardware which will give it the starting success in the tablet market. What really will matter is the software enhancement that Nokia plans to bring apart from what Microsoft gets to the platform.

If you compare it with other tablets in the same range, Nokia has enhanced the readability factor by a big margin making them stand out. The color reproduction and the brightness will leave many impressed.

Now many of you might think that how can this be successful with Windows RT running on it, then let’s agree to disagree that this is not a full PC. Nokia is pushing this device as a tablet though you can attach a keyboard to it and use it as regular laptop.

That said, the hopes from Nokia have grown even bigger but the challenge stays till Nokia comes with more apps and enhancements like they do on Lumia phones
