We had been looking at this device in rumors and now it’s a reality. Microsoft just announced the Lumia 530 and before even I start saying anything, I am seriously disappointed. A 512 MB RAM with 4 GB of Internal Storage….you seriously are kidding me right there…but the specs don’t lie.
- Quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon™ 200
- 4 inch LCD, FWVGA (854 x 480) Screen
- 512 MB RAM
- 4 Gb Internal Storage; Expandable up to 128 GB
- Dual and Single SIM versions
- Bluetooth 4.0
- 5-megapixel camera
- Removable Battery; 1430 mAh
- On Screen Buttons.
Jo Harlow, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Devices Group, said that Lumia 530 is all about making affordable smartphone but the device is supposed to be priced at €85 for single sim and €100 for dual SIM which brings to almost the same price point of Lumia 525 and even the Lumia 630.

Microsoft also introduced a new speaker which is by the famous headphone makers, Coloud and it looks outstanding. The speakers are named as Banged and looks like a piece of pie with curved edge. The portable speakers are really small and very much affordable at €19
While I do understand that it was in pipeline and there is a huge market for low end phones but Microsoft seriously needs to check on the low end phones with recent changes by Asus and Xiaomi which are bringing in quality hardware at low price point.
