Lumia 540 Unboxing and First Impressions

Microsoft announced the Lumia 540 a couple of days ago and we had the brand new retail unit to test it out, and share our experience with you all. The phone comes with 5 inch IPS LCD screen which is 720P, 294 PPI and Clear Black enabled display. The phone does have 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage to get your started. When it comes to processor, the phone houses a Snapdragon Quad core processor which is clocked to 1.2 Ghz.  Now lets take a look at the unboxing video:

First Impression:

The phone has a close resemblance to Lumia 640 except that it has rectangular body compared to round corners. The display looks great with clear black impact is very much visible. The touch response looks good for the first few minutes of usage with sharp text. When it comes to camera front, the Lumia camera is not the one that comes pre-installed on the 640 and 640 XL i.e. there is no rich capture mode. it records video at 480P and comes with Audio bass filters.

The rear of the phone is matt finish, and the black is very different from the blacks we have seen. It has mix of grey to be honest. When it comes to internal storage, you get around 3.5 GB free. There are no virtual buttons. When it comes to the OS, it comes with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 which gives you access to searchable settings.
