Lumia 620 Black Update Rolling out in India

Nokia has finally started rolling out the Black Update for Lumia 620 model. This update was announced in January and this handset is the last one to receive it. As a matter of fact, the update was already rolled out in many countries earlier but none of the Indian users had received it until today. We are hearing lot of buzz on Twitter and Facebook about users receiving the update today.

For users who aren’t aware what this update will get them, the list goes something like this: App Folder, Bluetooth LE, Nokia Refocus, Nokia Beamer, Nokia Camera with DNG support and Glance Screen version two support. Nokia Refocus app was made available just today for all the handsets and this could be a point of attraction to users.

While all these features sound perky, as per me, ability to close down the apps using the long press back button which enables the multitasking view and screen rotations are important. They will improve the user experience on day-to-day basis.

In case you haven’t checked for the update, go to Settings > Phone Update and hit the “check for updates” button. Chances are that you will get notification about the update. If not it should be there soon. Keep checking.

Also rest assured that upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update will also be rolled out for Lumia 620. As a matter of fact they will be rolled out for all Lumia devices running Windows Phone 8.
