Lumia 620 gets a New protective Shell which Takes Care when It FaceDrops
Like Lumia 820, Lumia 620 can have a custom made shell. This lets you turn your phone into any colour or design you prefer. We already saw the potential of these custom shells at MWC when Makerbot demonstrated about it using their 3D printer.
Today, Nokia Conversation shared a protective shell for Lumia 620 which is one step ahead of the Lumia 820 cases. They not only make sure that your phone is kept safe from accidental water contact and regular dust but it can even protect your phone when it falls on the face.
Features of Lumia 620 Protective shell:
- The shell fits in so tightly that it even seals the gap between camera, display and loudspeaker such that it becomes tough for dust and water to enter the phone in one shot. This is in fact better than 820 cases for this kind of situation.
- The shell has two layers. The interior shell is built using polycarbonate (tough) and exterior uses TPSiV, which is more flexible and feels like rubber.
- Face Drop Protection : Many a times the phone falls right on its face. This can cause heavy damage to the screen. Lumia 620 protective shell (CC-3061) has its edges pointing out which makes sure the edges are ready to take the damage instead of your screen.
Looking at these features, I would have really wanted something for my Lumia 920. Big phones need more protection :).
So where is the case available ? I really could not find any link from where I can buy one. According to Nokia conversation post, it will be available by end of this month for around 25 Euros. The availability will also depend on your region which means if you are in country like India, it will take a lot of time. We don’t have even have the full range of accessories available for Lumia 920, yet.
The case is available in grey with grey exterior and yellow interior. Sad colours honestly!!.
