Lumia 640 / 640 XL India Launch Imminent as Microsoft Sends Invite for April 7th

Microsoft has started sending out Invites for a new device launch with hash tag of #Achievemore and teaser of the device that is going to be launched in India on that day. Its very obvious that it should be either or both of Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL. The event is happening in Delhi and Bangalore on the same day.  This is how the invite looks like:

Microsoft launched the device at MWC 2015 this March, and looking at our first impression videos, the device is expected to draw a lot of attention, specially if the pricing gets around Rs 9500 for Lumia 640 and 13000 for Lumia 640 XL.

It houses a 5 inch HD screen with resolution of 720p resolution. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8926), 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, the phone comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. It also houses a 8MP front camera capable of  shooting video at 1080p and a front camera of 1MP for video calls.

It also has Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Proximity and Ambient Light Sensors. The Lumia 640 comes loaded with the popular Glance screen feature and is equipped with a Corning Gorilla Glass display. The phone houses battery of 2500mAh which makes sure you get enough power to last for a day, but of course the real scenario will after a detailed review.

Keeping in mind that lot of phablets have made their way into mid low budget section, like the Xiaomi Note and YU Yuerka, making a bigger version of Lumia 640 made a lot of sense. It also matches with what Nokia wanted to do with Nokia XL Series which was unveiled in MWC 2014.

It houses a 5.7 inch HD screen with resolution of 720p. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz, the phone comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. It also houses a 13MP front camera capable of  shooting video at and a front camera of 5MP for video calls. It has a battery of 3000mAh which makes sure you get enough power to last for a day, but of course the real scenario will after a detailed review.
