Lumia 650 Reportedly Priced for €219 / £199

The next, and probably the last Lumia that will be announced announced by Microsoft is the Lumia 650, and it has been showing up for pre-order at various retail stores in Europe and UK. The device first made its appearance at O2 Germany for  €219 , and then at Mobile FUN UK for £199. The later listing has been removed as of now.

One thing that we definitely know is that pricing are usually placed bit higher unless its confirmed, but it does give an idea on how much the phone would cost. As an example Lumia 550 is priced in India for Rs 9200, while it was around 100 to 110 pounds a Clove.

While it still hasn’t been officially confirmed, but showing up at so many places, virtually confirms it. The device is expected to bring metal design to mid range with  a 5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 212 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Looking at the price, the device is expected to cost around Rs 15,000 which is high for its Snapdragon 212 process. I would want to see what the phone comes with, before making a final comment.

What worries me here is processor choice. Now sure why Microsoft would choose Snapdragon 212 for a phone which will cost around Rs 15,000 to 16,000 in the market, when its predecessors had a better one, if one has to keep the completion aside. If the prices are correct, the phone will not get any success in the market.
