Lumia Camera Fast Resume and HDR Mode Demo
We all have hated the slow resume of the Lumia Camera, which also has the Camera review a negative point. Microsoft showed that a fix to this is being rolled out, back in september, and now we have a video demo of the same. Check out how quickly the camera resumes back aliening with the Microsoft view of “From Pocket to Click in 10 second”. You can also take multiple pictures in a row, without waiting except for few miliseconds.
Lumia Denim is required for this update, but it seems Lumia Camera update is yet to roll out. Once it is in place, you will be able to record 4K video at 24 FPS. It will be possible to change flash and use Auto HDR to get a perfect shot. The internals of the camera app, and the way it talks to the OS was re-written in its version 5 for Lumia Demin update. Processing of images now happens in background.
So what happens to devices which cannot shooth 4K videos? They will still get the basic stuff. You will get an “HD Moments” version instead, which is basically the same thing with less pixels.

Now there will be some exceptions, including the our beloved 1020. The problem with it is the processor. The next update needs a minimum of Snapdragon Quad Core, specifically Snapdragon 800 which has dual image signal processors which is needed by Rich Capture.
