Lumia Moments App Released; Lets You Save HD Images from a Video

Back September when Microsoft announced Denim update, some of the devices like the Lumia 830, 930 and 1520 got option to record in 4K. At the same time there was an app that was shared called as “Lumia Moments” which allows to save high quality images from these videos. The app has been released and it works with only those devices.  This is specifically useful to capture a moment which would otherwise be impossible.

With Lumia Moments you can extract great action shots from your videos or 4K Moment shots on your Lumia (or full HD shots on the Lumia 830).Use Best Frame to find pictures and save them as Living Images, then see them brought to life in the camera roll or Lumia Storyteller.

You will be able to add blur in the background if you choose Action Shot which does help to emphasize motion, and keep object in focus. Once you open the video, select type of shot and then select the moment you want to save. You will be able to easily scroll back and forth to find the right moment.

The app supports Lumia 830, Lumia 930, Lumia Icon and Lumia 1520 and work with Lumia Denim Update that is currently being rolled out. If you want to check for your device, please follow this link.
