Make NFC Payment with Softcard on Windows Phone
When Apple Pay was introduced, the strongest point was payment through NFC which works over 200,000 places. This option was missing on Windows Phone, until now. Softcard, a service which is a joint venture between AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, , has launched a Windows Phone app which makes it easy for NFC payments in the US. This brings Windows Phone in-line with iPhone for NFC payments.

- PAYMENTS: Add eligible payment cards and get all the benefits and protections you would with your physical card. Or setup a prepaid account and add money to it with your preferred debit card, credit card or U.S. bank account.
- OFFERS: Find money-saving offers from participating merchants—right on your phone and ready to use.
- LOYALTY: Store participating loyalty cards and cut the clutter.
This feature obviously works with Windows Phone having NFC on-board. Once installed and configured, to make a payment, all you need is to enter the pin, select a card and tap. You will also need an enhanced SIM card which can store and protect your payment and other sensitive payment information.
The only thing that is not sure is the integration with Windows Phone Wallet and option to pay through it. If this comes in, people will have more option to pay.
