Maru OS to bring Continuum for Android Smartphones
Continuum, a feature from Microsoft running on its flagship devices, the Lumia 950 XL, and the Lumia 950, seems to be headed to Android as well, except that it’s not from Microsoft, but it’s coming through Maru OS.
Maru OS is a firmware based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, available for Nexus 5, which is supplemented by a desktop version of Linux. If you use the Android phone, it has a normal smart phone interface with a selection of Apps. but one connects it with a display via HDMI port, it enables a desktop with windows, apps and everything that goes with it, in the screen. To use a mouse and keyboard are required. The desktop version will be ready in less than five seconds, according to developers.
This enabled access to Internet, SD memory all through the smartphone, and looking at the images, seems you will be able to use some of the Google Apps, Picture editing , and so on.
While Google has made effort to get something like this through their Chrome OS, but it did not work quite right, and as far as I have heard, and read they will be uniting the platform in new future. May be then, we might see a stronger version of this, but nevertheless, for now Maru sounds very interesting for Android user.
If you want to try Maru OS, you must subscribe to the waiting list and have a Nexus 5 around to test, and send feedback. According to developers, the first Maru OS version to be released during the next week or early.
