Messaging App Updated; Supports Animated Emoji & Improved UI
Microsoft has updated the Messaging + Skype on Windows 10 Mobile which brings is Skype’s Animated Emoji, and has improved user interface by making things a little bigger. While the app remains a messaging app at the core, Skype is also integrated behind the scene.
Here is the list of changes:
- Phablet mode makes it easier to read long messages in landscape mode.
- In this mode, when you are replying to someone, the contact is highlighted by a blue vertical line on its left aka highlight bar. Its basically a marker to tell that you are talking to this person.
- Contact Circles are definitely larger, and is much clear to what I have seen before.
- Skype Emoji is here. It takes a bit of time to load-up.
- Unread texts have a bolded Font is one of the new features.
- It also fixed a bug that used to set the Status online every-time you opened this app.This has been fixed to respect the status of your Skype Login.
While we all are waiting for the Official Rollout of Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft a’int bothering much about it in a good way. Resent plethora of Universal Apps, and updating the core apps every week is now a good habit that should be continued.
