Micromax Canvas WIN W121 Camera Review

NEVER! I said Never did I expected something so much better from Micromax, yes those days are slowly vanishing when people used to think of Micromax as a Chinese Rebranded company, they achieved some terrific feat in Mobile world which made it noticeable worldwide now, its one of the Global OEM which makes good quality products and slowly has made its place among other OEM.

The Camera is one such thing , most indispensable feature people look forward to with every release of any phone. During the Camera Quality test, the Micromax Canvas WIN W121 was successful in surprising me.The rear camera is an 8 MP with Auto Focus and LED Flash.

How you ask ? Well …

Amazing Daylight Performer

Images are Sharp , Detailed , Crisp and the Colour Reproduction is good, not over saturated, they just get it right. Even photos taken indoor with sunlight coming through is good enough at least when taking about the Primary Camera.

Secondary (Selfie) Camera(2 MP) just works, you have to put in some effort to take wider selfie (as usual) as the Secondary Camera isn’t wide enough, but works decently and tries to retain most details in a photo (While working along the Camera apps) w.r.t Settings.

Low light hand held images might cause issues as the camera slows down the shutter to 1/25 (that’s much slow than standard) in order to preserve shake, and without OIS, this causes some shake. But overall it does its job for 98% of times.

Low Light :

High Sensitivity of Camera’s sensor in Low Light will bring noise / grains like they always do, anything beyond ISO 600 might be managed by software noise reduction , but above ISO 800 is mostly useless ,and the Shutter Speed can really slow down to 1/7 causing serious shakes in photos.

For low lights you will have to depend on a help from flash, while the flash might not be powerful enough, but does the job.

Close-ups / Macros :

Fast focusing and details macros ! yes I am not going to bore you guys with more details other than that the camera is really good when it comes to selective focusing , preserves details and again good color reproduction.
