Microsoft to Announce Lumia 950 / 950XL on 30th November; Sends out Official Invites

Microsoft is all set to announce the latest flagship Windows 10 Mobile devices–Lumia 950 & the Lumia 950 XL–on Monday, 30th November. The official announcements have been sent, and we will be there to cover it and share all the launch offers including the price and availability of the device. However, At this moment, we aren’t sure if both the devices will be launched or not.

Looking at the invite format, its pretty clear that Microsoft wants to push Continuum, a feature which turns your phone into a PC,  big time. While right now its only supported on only these two devices (Dual Display output hardware requirement), I am sure the Redmond giant is working towards brining into the low-end device with its next generations.

Microsoft is also holding an Insiders event on the same day, and if you did get the confirmation about it, you should go ahead and attend. Not only you will get to try the devices, there is also a chance to buy them right there.

We expect the pricing of the Lumia 950 smartphone to India at a price of Rs 42,000-44,000, while the Lumia 950 XL will be carrying a price tag of Rs 48,000. We also expect Microsoft to pack in Continuum with the 950 XL.

Lumia 950 has a 5.2in Quad-HD screen (2560×1440, 564ppi) display and a 20Mp camera with Zeiss optics, 32GB of storage (plus microSD support up to 2TB) and runs Windows 10. On the other hand, the Lumia 950 XL has a larger 5.7inch Quad HD display. While both the devices come with 3GB RAM, the 950 runs on Snapdragon 808 processor and 950XL comes with Snapdragon 810 Octa core chipset.
