Microsoft Announces Lumia 950 and 950XL

At the Windows 10 Devices event, Microsoft has announced two new flagship devices, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL. These two devices will replace the Lumia 930 which is the current flagship released last year. This is the first time Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile devices have specs comparable to Android counterparts.

The Lumia 950XL comes with 5.7 inch Quad HD display (1440×2560) and is powered by Snapdragon 810 Octa core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone comes with 32GB on board storage and features micro SD card support as well.

The Lumia 950 is a smaller variant of 950XL with a 5.2inch Quad HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 808 Hexa core processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB on board storage. Both the devices have 20MP rear camera and 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Microsoft had also added liquid cooling available on Surface to Lumia.

Both these devices have wireless charging and USB Type C port. While there is OIS on both these phones, the Lumia 950 comes with dual LED flash, while the Lumia 950XL features triple LED flash. The Lumia 950 and 950XL runs on Windows 10 Mobile.

The battery capacity of Lumia 950 is 3000mAh while the bigger 950XL comes with 3300mAh battery. There is also Iris scanner on both the devices.
