Microsoft announces Xbox Game Pass- Netflix like subscription for Xbox Games; Coming this Spring [Updated with Games list]

Microsoft today announced Xbox Game Pass, a new on-demand service for Xbox Games. Xbox Game Pass service is coming later this spring. With the Game Pass, gamers will have access to over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 backward compatible Games, all for only $9.99 per month.

The line-up consists of titles from Microsoft Studios, 2K, 505 Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, SNK CORPORATION, THQ Nordic GmbH, and Warner Bros. It includes games like Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16, LEGO Batman and many more.

Xbox Game Pass lets you download the title directly on your Xbox, saving you from streaming it online. This is really helpful for gamers, as we all know how irritating it gets if you have any sort of connectivity issues while gaming.

Xbox in their blog post highlights one of the main feature of Game Pass-

That means continuous, full-fidelity gameplay without having to worry about streaming, bandwidth or connectivity issues. Every month new games will cycle into the subscription with some cycling out, giving you a constantly-updating library of games. Xbox Game Pass is your ticket to endless play.

Microsoft has already started rolling out Xbox Game Pass to some of the members of the Xbox Insider Program. The Game Pass is in the Alpha Preview with a very limited number of titles, mostly some of the games listed above. Xbox Live Gold members will also be receiving exclusive access to Xbox Game Pass prior to the public launch of the program.
