Microsoft details Windows 10 FCU Phased Rollout Approach

Windows 10 FCU is rolling for many Windows 10 Users, and there are many which are help up to upgrade their Windows 10 PC to FCU. While there are many ways to upgrade to FCU, especially using the ISO files available, just like CU, a clean installation is not everyone’s share.

That said, Microsoft has shared details about their Phased Rollout, which is nothing new, but its good to see how Microsoft is rolling out its update to Windows 10 devices, including PCs, phones, and IoT devices. Here are the key points:

The Fall Creators Update begins rolling out to newer devices tested by us and our device partners. Along with this, feedback from Windows Insiders and Windows Insider for Business is also taken into account. This gives Microsoft enough data for devices which can deliver the best experience for those consumers.

Apart from this, Microsoft also claims that FCU is the most secure version of Windows 10 which includes built-in protection capabilities to harden its security platform against unwanted threats and malicious malware. This update also adds protection against ransomware, which holds your files hostage until you pay to get them back.

Microsoft also comments that there is a new Semi-Annual Channel for commercial users which will offer the twice-yearly feature update and replaces Windows Current Branch (CB) and Current Branch for Business (CBB) concepts.
