Microsoft Explains the Redstone 4 aka Spring Creators Update Delay

We all know that there had been delay in the Redstone 4 Rollout aka Windows 10 Spring Creators Update because of some bug which had been blocking the rollout. Today, Windows Insiders chief has officially posted about the cause along with a new Build 17134 that is rolling out to Windows 10 Insiders. 17133 is no more the official build anymore.

There was a critical reliability issue that resulted in a higher percentage of BSODs on PCs which led to the delay. She said:

Instead of creating a Cumulative Update package to service these issues, we decided to create a new build with the fixes included. This just reinforces that Windows Insiders are critical to helping us find and fix issues before releasing feature updates to all our customers so thank you,”

One thing you should know that their won’t any major change in terms of new features. This build will be mostly bug fixes, especially for the blocking bug.

That said if you used the Windows 10 Insiders to get the Spring Creators Update, you will need to switch back to the Fast Ring again and download the latest build i.e. 17134. Once downloaded, restart your PC, and switch back to the Fixes only option.
