Microsoft HealthVault Research Project Apps on all Platforms are gone for Good!

Microsoft has put an end to ye another consumer-centric service, and this time its HealthVault Research Project. Interesting to know that their UWP app debuted only last year, but it seems this US-specific project is finally dead. It had its presence on Android and iOS as well. In Today’s post, Microsoft announced :

An update on HealthVault Insights

We launched HealthVault Insights as a research project last year, with the goal of helping patients generate new insights about their health. Since then, we’ve learned a lot about how machine learning can be used to increase patient engagement and are now applying that knowledge to other projects.

As part of this progression, we’ve made the decision to remove HealthVault Insights from the iOS, Android and Windows stores effective later this month. This change will have no impact on the data users generated in HealthVault Insights, which will continue be accessible via the HealthVault website. Thank you for participating in our project. Please contact our support team if you have any questions.

IMO, Microsoft will soon nail its Health Vault completely with absolutely no presence in the Fitness Market, especially after the band was gone, the removal of apps is only a start. While you may argue that it was only a research project, but well Microsoft will soon nail it as well.
