Microsoft India & Airtel Planning for Double Data Offer with Lumia 950, 950 XL and 550
Microsoft doesn’t want to leave ant stone unturned to make sure the recent launched Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL gets an attraction. It is reported that Microsoft is planning to bring double data offer with Bharti Airtel for the above mentioned devices along with Lumia 550 which is planned to launch soon.

Ajey Mehta, country head, mobile devices, Microsoft India, said :
Microsoft India is keen to partner with Bharti Airtel for a 4G data-bundling pact, wherein their customers may be able to double their data packs for free on purchasing our Windows 10 Lumia 4G devices such as the 950, 950 XL and the soon-to-launched Lumia 550.
Since both the Lumia are dual sim, one might opt in for a data pack option with Airtel, and still use the second number for rest of their work. I am sure this offer will be only for pre-paid consumers, when launched.
Right now Airtel might have the advantage as there is no competition to the service. Other network, specially Vodafone is gearing up for their nationwide 4G launch, but this till take a bit of time, and we hope Microsoft partners with other services as well.
Airtel doesn’t have a very strong reputation for data, and I have seen the coverage is very poor in the capital every time I visit. The problem of coverage remains. You will usually get 4G data reception when you are outside, but it drops to edge or H+ when inside. The typical problem that used to happen with 3G.
