Microsoft Launcher is the New “Arrow” Launcher for Android Features & Fluent Design

If you have been using Microsoft products, I am sure you must have at least heard about “Arrow Launcher” for Android Phones.  This was developed as part of Garage App by Microsoft employees in their free time. It is one of the best launchers in the market, and now it has officially out of beta and released in the  Play Store as “Microsoft Launcher”

What is wonderful about the update is that it’s just not a change of name. Tha app has got new features, the Fluent Design which is part of Windows 10 Design language, and so on.  The primary reason why Microsoft built a launcher for Android is to make things easy for those who also have a Windows 10 Machine. The steps are in the same direction as Edge opening up on other platforms so consumers get the same experience when they switch phones or machines.

Note: This will need Fall Creators Update which is going to start rolling from October 17th. So as of now its only Insiders who can try it. You will need to link your PC with your Phone. Read How

While we will coming with a full review later, here is the list of features in Microsoft Launcher:

  • Continue on PC: This lets you open documents, images, etc directly on Windows 10 PC from your Phone. So you can keep down your phone, and resume back to your PC.
  • Customizable: It allows you to set things as per your need, and personalize it. You can have background colors, gestures and much more.
  • News, Activities and the Feed:  You can have a look at your News, events, activities etc by just swiping to the right. It is customizable as well with the dark theme as an option or chooses the accent colors just like you have on Windows 10.
