Microsoft Launching Lumia 540 Tomorrow in India

Microsoft is announcing their next budget Windows Phone, the Lumia 540, tomorrow in India. The phone was made Official on 15th of April and honestly, we did not expect this quick launch. We expect the phone to do great for Windows Phone in this segment, and very similar to what happened with Lumia 535, and without any glitches. The only that we don’t know about the device is the pricing, and we expect it be really aggressive if Microsoft wants to do well. 

Lumia 540 Specifications:

The new device sports a 5 inch HD display which is better than the Lumia 535 which has a qHD display. The phone runs on Snapdragon 200 Quad core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is expandable to 128GB.

On the camera front, the device sports a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a front 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. On the specs aspect, the phone looks fairly good and loaded with specs.

The Lumia 540 Dual SIM comes installed with Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim Update. It will be upgradable to Windows 10 later in the year. Available in glossy layered cyan, orange, white and matte black, the Lumia 540 Dual SIM will start rolling out in early May to the IMEA and APAC regions, and to Italy with an price of $149 USD. WE expect this device to reach India pretty soon and expect a pricing of Rs 9000 when it launches in India.

The phone is very close to Lumia 535, and here are the differences:
