Microsoft might try “Buy Games using GamerScore” like feature with Xbox Live
Sony’s PlayStation has this incredible feature which allows gamers to earn credit towards game purchases depending on how many PlayStation Trophies they have. In simple words, you can buy games with your PlayStation trophies. This makes the whole gaming worth, especially for those who are tight on the budget.
When this was asked to the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, he said that they might give this a try. PlayStation trophies are equivalent of Xbox Live Game scores. This is going to a be a great add-on for Xbox Live gamers, both on PC and Xbox One.
One thing which we all pride in on Xbox is the GamerScore. Some might not be happy about if the displayed Gamerscore goes down. Those who don’t care about it might be happy. Xbox Team will have to come out with a middle path, or a completely new feature to get this done. Let’s see how Microsoft plans to implement it.
That said, competition is good, and this is why. Microsoft didn’t have a great year when it came to First Party games, and there are many places, in terms of features, Xbox has to catch up with.
Let’s hope Microsoft comes up with some big announcement at E3 2018, and they take everyone with surprise like they did with Xbox One Backward compatibility.
