Microsoft Planning to get Lumia Camera on All Windows Phone
If you have ever used a non-lumia Windows Phone, you know the camera is pretty much a mess there. Those phones come with default camera app, which is more of a boxed experience with half of space taken by controls, and it’s not as pretty as the Lumia Camera. This may change though.
In a conversation between Windows Central Daniel Rubino and Jesse Leskinen, who is a hobbyist C#, Java and PHP developer, where he posted a couple of picture where had the Lumia Camera on his Samsung ATIV S. It is an internal beta testing right now.
This update should be rolled out with the next major version, Windows 10 of which the announcement is due on 21st January which Microsoft will be live streaming. This is the Version 5 of Lumia Camera which makes me think if it can get on ATIV S, why can’t the Lumia 1020 get it. Hopefully we will see this on 1020 as well, but with few features trimmed down. I hope it just gets faster if nothing else.
Features to expect in Lumia Camera ver. 5:
- Camera opens faster, and auto focus will be snappier.
- Rich Mode gets smarter & it can automatically choose a mode.
- HDR ability.
- Dynamic Flash which allows you to change flash after taking a picture.
- 4K video capture mode.
