Here is some good news for all Xbox Gamers. Satya Nadella is not scrapping out the Xbox Division anytime soon because he is pretty much impressed with the incredible response to the Xbox One X over the holiday. He shared this during an annual shareholder meeting today and said that now the company plans to pursue the expanding video game industry.
We’re mobilizing to pursue an expansive opportunity in the 100+ billion gaming market. This means broadening our approach to how we think about gaming end-to-end. About starting with games and how they’re created and distributed, and how they’re played and viewed.
Since past few years, especially after Windows 10, the company has pushed hard on the gaming front, including Windows 10 Mixed reality, Xbox Play Anywhere, Cross-Platform support when it comes to multiplayer, and so on.
The reason I had pun intended in my post, is because something very positive was said for Windows 10 Mobile, but it wasn’t Satya who said it. He was never in support of Nokia acquisition, but with Xbox making some buzz, I am hoping this to keep going.
While Xbox One X is the most powerful gaming console, I am sure Microsoft didn’t have a crazy number of units available everywhere as well. It, of course, sold out, and Microsoft had a fair idea of how its console was doing. No pun! Its just usual business here which makes sense.
