Web App for MSDN Forums on Windows Phone Metry Style

We just got updated over a news letter that Microsoft has released a metro based web version ( all html 5 here ) for all the Forums in Microsoft right from MSDN, TechNet Office 365 and others and it really looks impressive.

Though I was expecting a real Windows Phone App here for which they say “Windows Phone, Android, Apple native versions coming soon…” so till then you can pin the website to your start menu sing the Pin to start option in the IE 9 Browser. Try it here

What I really like is that there is no page load here all is Ajaxified which makes the experience much better than even going to the forums from your computer. One tip which I will give you here is never to press the back button else you will have to load again!!!

What’s Hot : This lists down the hot topics on the MSDN Forums like Windows 8 Metro Style and so on.
Favorites : Once you set up your profile name you can always get to see your favorites forum
FAQs : All answers by Microsoft Engg.
My : All your settings, display name and forums.

How to start using it ?

All you need is set your display name which you actually use in the forum in the settings menu and you are good to go. You can also :

Set your Favorite Forums, comes with a search option and filter by alphabets
Change Community
Send Feedback

If you wish to change the settings, the only way to do is clear your IE Cahce on Windows Phone to clear the data.
