Microsoft Reportedly Buying Popular Predictive Keyboard maker SwiftKey

If reports have to believed, Microsoft is buying the popular Android & iOS Predictive Keyboard maker SwiftKey for $250 million dollars. As reported by the reported by the Financial Times. This long based company has been doing wonders, and Microsoft may in future integrate the technology across platforms. It is also being reported that  both founders, Jon Reynolds and Ben Medlock roughly $30 million apiece in the process.

While Microsoft Keyboard is one of the best across Mobile platforms, Swift key is known to learn things faster including slangs, and has developed a completely new artificial intelligence for typing.  Swiftkey is being used by more than 300 million iOS and Android users, and the acquisition for its talent makes sense for the company.

As of now, there is nothing know when the keyboard, or how it will be integrated with Windows 10 Mobile, but does adds to the excitement.  While some of you might argue on why buy a service where Microsoft has already excelled, but then you need to take a broader look.
