Microsoft Reportedly Testing Xbox One Over-the-Air TV DVR Feature
Recording whats being aired on the TV is one of handy features which everybody would love to use. Xbox One comes with TV functionality, region restricted, and last August the company which option to stream to Windows 10 devices. It was planned that it will launch in 2016 and Paul Thurrott has some good news for all of us.

He says that somebody close to Microsoft has shared that Microsoft is testing this feature internal for Xbox One which will allow the console to record freely available OTA TV. It is also claimed that it will work while you are playing games, watching TV, and even with Xbox consoler sleeping. Xbox One has a very strong background service which even allows to download updates in the background.
Well, the TV DVR functionality is coming, at least. Microsoft is now internally testing an update for Xbox One called “Xbox One Threshold Beta 1603 System Update,” or th2xboxrel_1603.160308-1900. This update allows the console to record freely available OTA TV, and it even works while you’re playing games, watching live TV, or when the console is sleeping.
If you ben using Windows from a long time, this feature was available with WMC in Windows, but now has moved to the console. This will make sense to lot of people mostly because consoles are usually attached to TV’s and it makes it lot easier for anyone to watch the record TV shows than on Monitor. Also, consoles are easy to setup & maintain unlike PC where you need to spend time. General public might purchase this, especially with cable prices rising.
