Microsoft Starts Transition of Nokia-branded Retail Outlet as “Microsoft Priority Reseller Store”
If you have been too attached looking at the Nokia Retail stores in your city, a change is coming soon. Microsoft has formally begun the transition and the first ever Priority Reseller Store in the world is opening in India in Gurgaon, near New Delhi. This store is present in the Ambience Mall rand was unveiled by Chris Weber, Corporate Vice President, Mobile Device Sales at Microsoft.

Our good friend Abishek Baxi, who got the news on Windows Central, also share that the transition will be made across a total of 8,872 stores and 119 Care centers by the end of June 2015. A total of 441 store are getting a complete new design.
Microsoft Acquired Nokia, and this transition been due from sometime. Interesting to note that while retail stores are termed as ‘Microsoft Priority Reseller stores’, the value and experience stores will be known as ‘Microsoft Mobile Reseller stores’. This is definitely another hint that Windows Phone will soon be called as Windows Mobile in near future.

The best part of the picture above is that Surface will be available for the experience along with other devices. You will be able to visit the store, get your doubts clear and try out the devices before you buy. This is a much needed strategy needed in India where consumers want to get a look and feel of the device before putting their money in front.
