Microsoft in talks with Sony to being cross-play between Xbox One and PS4
The war between Consoles is as old as it is between almost anything. The major contender, Microsoft with Xbox One and Sony with PS 4 had always worked hard not only to get their consoles better but also get exclusive games so when the holiday season hit in, not only they can attract new consumers, but also keep the veterans on board.
Microsoft wants to change this a bit. In an interview with GameReactor, Xbox marketing head Aaron Greenberg shared that Xbox is in talks with Sony to make cross play between the consoles possible. This is one of the big dreams of Microsoft Gaming section to bring all gamers together. Since 2 years, Microsoft has pushed hard to let PC games, and Console gamers play together, and now they are ready for the next step.
If you take Minecraft in this scenario, except for PS4, cross-play is already available for Windows, Xbox One, iOS, Android and even Nintendo Switch. Microsoft is talked to Sony to get on board for Minecraft to unite gamers throughout the world.
There are several advantages of this, but it will take a lot of time. Say for example if you have Xbox One console, and most of your friends are on PS4, with Cross-Play, you can play the same game with them, and still, have a console of your choice. They can even take steps ahead, and bring Party Chat, and messaging between platforms possible.
