Microsoft’s Project Scorpio Full Specification Revealed

Project Scorpio had been one of the most talked projects from Microsoft, especially when the company started diluting lines between PC gamers, and Console gamers. While we have always known it will come hardware specs which will match the best Gaming PCs, we do officially have the entire list of specification thanks to Eurogamer. They were given an exclusive preview of it.

If I have to sum it in simple words, it is 4.5 times more powerful than Xbox One, and 1.5 times powerful than PlayStation. Let’s check out the specifications now:

Project Scorpio Specifications:

  • It is powered by Eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz with 4MB L2 Cache.
  • The GPU is 40 customized compute units. It will achieve six teraflops of HPU power at 1.72 GHz. AMD has designed the GPU and comes with a memory bandwidth of 326GB/s.
  • It will have an internal PSU which will make it compact, and it has been possible to achieve it because of the new advanced cooling techniques.
  • It will have 4K UHD Blu-ray drive.
  • It comes with 1 TB HDD.
  • You get all usual ports including HDMI-in, USB 3.0, SPDIF digital audio port, IR receiver and Kinect over USB.

Digital Foundry shares that the performance of Scorpio is remarkable which they witnessed with True 4K and 60 frames per second (FPS).  It has a huge amount of graphical improvement. They say that Scorpio will hit its native 4K target across a range of content, and still have the power to spend on other visual improvements.

It is expected that Microsoft will reveal Project Scorpio at E3, and I would suggest you read full details here.
