Microsoft’s Ringtone Maker App is Now Available for Windows 10 Mobile
If you always wanted to set a part of your favorite song as your Ringtone on your Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft in-house Ringtone Maker App is Now officially available. The app launched a couple of months ago in beta and allowed users to pick up 30 seconds of any song on their phone as their Ringtone. In this update, however, you can choose to have a minimum of 1 second as a ringtone, a great option if you like something repeating all the time.

The official description of the apps says:
“With Ringtone Maker, you can create ringtones and notification alerts from the music on your phone. Simply open the app, select your favorite song and save it as a ringtone. You can cut your ringtone any way you like, with editing controls that let you choose the start, end, and length of your ringtone.
In this version, you get improved usability, notification alerts for messaging, emails, reminders, and an alarm clock available with the latest OS update.
Also, the app clearly says that it will be only able to use DRM free music, which means if you have downloaded songs from Apps like Groove Music Pass, you will not be able to use that as your ringtone.
The app works well with MP3 files, and there is a nice option to swipe across to part of a second where it automatically chooses the next 30 seconds of the songs, which can be altered. You can preview the song before finalizing it as a ringtone. Lastly, when you go ahead to save it as a ringtone, a copy of the file is saved on your phone with the option to set it as a ringtone instantly.
Note: Some of the users are still getting the old version of the app, and if that’s the case, hold on till the app rollout becomes global. Let us know what do you think about the update.
