Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Windows 10 Mobile Launches Today

After Microsoft stated that the Minecraft: Pocket Edition will not receive any updates in the future, a lot of rumors started building about the new Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Windows 10 Mobile. However, most of us expected it to come with the Creators Update for Windows 10 Mobile or maybe with the highly anticipated Surface Phone (you never know), for most obvious reasons like- Better performance, Xbox PlayAnywhere, etc. However, it looks like Microsoft has some other plans, because hey, Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Windows 10 Mobile is here!

Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Windows 10 Mobile includes the coveted Ender Update for mobile devices, includes a ton of Xbox Live achievements, and brought dedicated Realm support to Windows phones for the first time.

The game will be a free upgrade to those who already owned it on their Windows Phone 8.1. Minecraft: PE also closes the unification gap as it will receive the same updates as Windows 10 PC Edition. Need more? Minecraft: PE will support the Xbox S controller on your Windows 10 Mobile. And yes, it’s cross-platform! So, you can play with your friends on iOS and Android too. Best of all, the W10M version of Minecraft: PE will support Add-ons, just like the iOS or the Android version.
