It was quiet shameful for Windows Phone not have a data toggle feature in the Action centre. It is one of the most demanded feature when it comes to settings and it was missing , right from the starting.

Seems like somebody rang a bell on Microsoft doorstep and the feature has been rolled out via the latest Preview for Developer Update, which now is at version no 14219. The major feature is Cortana for Europe in this update, but I am sure you will be able to find many small things here and there.

How to add Cellular Data Toggle to Action Center

Make sure you have the 14219 update on Windows Phone.

Drag down the action centre and tap on “All Settings”
Select Notification + Action
Depending on your model, you will have 4 or 5 boxes of quick settings here. Tap on the one you want to replace with data toggle.
Scroll and look for for an option which says “Mobile Data” or anything similar.

This will get the toggle right on the action centre.

This feature is very handy if you want to control the data consumption anytime, specially when you are near your data limit. Here is a video demo as well:
