MoliPlayer Pro has Exclusive Features, Thanks to it’s Partnership with Nokia China

When MoliPlayer was launched and update recently, most of Windows Phone users were pretty surprised how this media player was able to access media files for which there is no open API in the SDK.  So the only conclusion was that they have OEM Level access to API but then the obvious question was with whom.

Moliplayer Pro for Windows Phone

So when we asked Moli Team about it, we received a press release from them. The press release clearly mentions:

Nokia evaluated many media player products. MoliPlayer came up promising in terms of both technology and user acceptance as said by Mr Hubert Ng, Head of Ecosystem Developer Experience, Nokia China.

This clearly explains that Moli Team do have access to OEM level API and I am pretty sure it should be a wrapper than anything else. Nokia already has apps like Nokia Video Trimmer, Uploader which needs API only available for some.

As Nokia ships its flagship Lumia 1520’s around the globe towards the end of November, a major update to MoliPlayer Pro is released to the Windows Phone Store on Nov 22. Topping the long list of improvements is the significant performance optimization of 1080p MKV videos playback, resolving the video stuttering, battery draining and over-heating issues altogether.

“What better experience there is to enjoy smooth high-definition videos on that monster 6″ screen of a Lumia 1520?”, said Luke Yu, who is in charge of Marketing with Moli Team, “In fact, we tuned the performance of MoliPlayer Pro to the point that you can enjoy the smooth playback of a 1080p MKV video even on a Lumia 620”.

Thanks to the great support by Nokia, Moliplayer Pro, an all-format local media player, is among a suite of popular iOS & Android apps that have made their appearances on the WP platform recently. Since its WP debut two weeks ago, MoliPlayer Pro has been warmly received by users worldwide. It quickly reached No. 1 on the top-paid list of all apps + games in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan stores, and high on the list of all top-paid apps in stores like the US, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Poland. MoliPlayer Pro has been featured by Microsoft and Nokia in their stores throughout the world.

“Nokia evaluated many media player products. MoliPlayer came up promising in terms of both technology and user acceptance,” said Mr. Hubert Ng, Head of Ecosystem Developer Experience, Nokia China, “We provided substantial support to Moli Team, who eventually delivered the right media player product for the WP platform. Congratulations to MoliPlayer on generating great revenue and user awareness in the first weeks on the store. “.

By adding 7 more languages and language related features in version 1.1, Moli Team hopes people from more countries will be able to play their favorite movies and TV shows with MoliPlayer Pro.

Tens of millions of iOS & Android users have enjoyed the rich features and user experience of MoliPlayer. Worldwide Windows Phone users, however, were quick to point out the uniqueness of the WP platform, to which Moli Team promptly responded by releasing a major update.

As a new comer to the WP platform, Moli Team is overwhelmed by the tremendous initial user feedback, unparalleled to both other platforms. There is no better way to pay back the users than to keep adding exciting new features and improving the user experience. We, at Moli Team, thank you for your continued support. Please stay tuned for the coming updates.

While Moli team does belong to China and hence the local support turned out to be smooth, their app is equally deserving, specially after the recent update where support like UPNP and Download to SD card is implemented.
