Down to Zero : Beautiful Multiple Coundown Timer App for Windows Phone

Most of time we are so much into work that we totally forget there is something important coming up. Take an example of Valentine’s Day or probably a trip you planned with your family and even though you planned for only last minute preparations, you never had time to set up a reminder for that.

That said, today we have a beautiful countdown timer app in the Windows Phone Store which gets this done easily, smartly and makes sure you never forget an important event. All you need is to set up a reminder.

Down to Zero is a beautifully done timer app which allows you to set up multiple reminders based on time, date and color of your choice. Next it shows how many days are left for the event and eventually gets down to hours, minutes and seconds as it closes by. If your event is pretty personal to you, add an image and make it even more relevant. So for example if it’s your wife’s birthday, you can add her picture and you know what the occasion is about.

As when you first launch the app, it’s empty. So hit the plus icon in the menu bar, select date, time, accent color, name the event and save it. Done that, it will automatically create the countdown for you. Once that’s done, you have option to either pin it to Start Screen or even set it as Lock Screen. The latter option is pretty cool!!

Calendar Integration: The app also includes calendar integration which allows one to pickup an appointment or even in your calendar and create a timer based on that. The app however works with calendar which is linked to your Microsoft Account in the phone. Other calendars like from Gmail, Facebook or any other email account don’t show up.

That said the app is free to download but if you wish to use the lock screen feature along with live tile, you need to shell out 1.49 USD or Rs 80 in India.  However if you have loads of event coming up, this is an excellent option. Hope the devs keep updating the app with new features as the time goes by.
