Munchkin : Microsoft’s “Docking Station” Like Accessory to Support Continuum
Windows 10 Mobile should release around October, and along with Flagship devices, Microsoft seems to be working on few interesting accessories. A report on MicrosoftInsider.es speculates four of them, but the most interesting one is codenamed “Munchkin”. It’s a docking station which supports Continuum, a feature coming to Windows 10 Mobile, that turns your phone into a PC, and supports basic hardware like keyboard and mouse.

Looking at that image, it looked like Mac Mini, and it almost functions like that except that it will use all the processing power of the phone and only acts like a relay system. You will be able to use most of the apps on your phone in full screen mode, specially office apps. Windows 10 Universal app platform scales apps to almost any screen, so you don’t have worry about how clear it will be.
Apart from this, Microsoft is coming up with three more accessories, which are more of upgrades.
- Valora is the next-gen of Treasure Tag which incorporates a new feature called “Motion Guard”
- Ivanna / Livana appears to be next version of MD-12 wireless Bluetooth speakers.
- Murano looks like iteration of HD-10 screen-sharing and Miracast device.
