myTube—A Beautiful YouTube App for Windows Phone 8

When it comes to Windows Phone 8, almost all Google services are missing and this includes YouTube as well. There are quite a lot of YouTube apps for Windows Phone including the popular Metrotube. Now we have a brand new YouTube app for Windows Phone 8 which comes with a beautiful interface and tons of features.

myTube is a YouTube app designed to keep your video playing when you want it to. You can read comments, browse for more videos and even view channels without missing a single part of your video. When you open the app for the first time, you get to see the popular videos, swipe to the left and you have all the categories in YouTube and when you swipe one more time, it will show your account details (you need to sign in to view it).

The app has a search feature where you can search for any video on YouTube. The interface of the app is pretty good and options in YouTube are neatly arranged.

On the features front, myTube has almost everything you need along with a cool new feature. You can keep playing the video you have started even when you browsing through the app. This is useful feature especially when you want to read the comments or check the related section while the video is being played.

The player is also unique, you just need to swipe to left or right to seek the video and this is totally different from the traditional approach. The app also has support for live tiles on start screen and there are quite a few settings available for this.

myTube is priced at 0.99$ with an option for free trial. The trial version is fully functional, but it will limit you to watching one hour of video in a three hour period. Once you cross that limit, you’ll need to wait 10 minutes before you can watch again.

As it is the first version, you might encounter bugs, but we are sure the developer will be able to fix them soon.
