Baby Name Finder App for Windows Phone

When it comes on deciding baby names it’s the toughest job for any newbie parent. You might want to find names that start with some alphabet or which ends with one. Some of us think it should even mean a lot better than just being fancy or combination of two.

Names is a Windows Phone app which has over 50,000 names that lets you search with all the above mentioned factors. Not only it tells you the meaning of the name but also tells you about origin if you want to be specific.

How does it work?

As soon you launch the app, it displays around 20 to 21 names in three different colors. While blue and pink are for boys and girls respectively, the unisex names are in white. The displayed named are random and they are shuffled from its offline data base every time you get to the search screen.

Filters, Favorites and History

The app lets you filter by gender and origin making it easy for you to search names which belong to your origin. You can also mark the name you find interesting your favorites list to visit them again and debate them with your family on which one to choose. Recently viewed name or history is available if you want to take a look at the name you just had a look on.

Completely Offline:

All the names stored are available without depending on any online source which improves performance and delivers quick results. Have around 55K name at this moment, I am sure you will be able to find the right name in time.

Sharing :

As of now the only way to share name is via email. I will strongly suggest the developer to add sharing over SMS and even Social Network which is where most of the users will be asking for opinion.
