New 8th Gen Intel Core Family claims 45% Improved Gaming Performance

In August, Intel announced its 8th Gen Intel Core Processor Family with 40% improvement & better 4K Display. Now the company has pushed it even further by improving its gaming performance which is 45 percent faster compared to its 7th-gen counterpart.

Setting Core i7-8700K as an example, the processor will offer extra 25 percent in frames per second running Microsoft’s Gears of War 4. The Core i7-8700K includes 6 core with 12 thread compared to 7th generation  Core i7-7700K which offers  4 core with 8 thread. Not only gaming, but there will be an improvement for anything which includes graphics i.e. Streaming, Gaming, and so on.

PCWorld reports that Intel has also added improvements to its Core i5 family with 6-core parts, as well as its first quad-core Core i3. As per Anand Srivatsa, general manager of the desktop platform group at Intel said. They will begin shipping later in the fourth quarter. Below is the detail of the  Intel’s six new chips launched on Sunday night:

  • Intel Core i7-8700K: 6 cores/12 threads at 3.7 GHz, boost to 4.7 GHz; $359
  • Intel Core i7-8700: 6 cores/12 threads at 3.2 GHz, boost to 4.6 GHz; $303
  • Intel Core i5-8600K: 6 cores/6 threads at 3.6 GHz, boost to 4.3 GHz; $257
  • Intel Core i5-8400: 6 cores/6 threads at 2.8 GHz, boost to 4 GHz; $182
  • Intel Core i3-8350K: 4 cores/4 threads at 4 GHz, no boost capabilities; $168
  • Intel Core i3-8100: 4 cores/4 threads at 3.6-GHz, no boost capabilities; $117

You should know that Intel is delivering these improvements i.e. additional cores, at the same price as offered by the AMD. The market is only getting competitive.

Intel has improved the capabilities by finding new ways to deliver power to the processor. There had been an alteration to the package to enable overclocking, support higher-speed memory, and son. This new processor will also support Intel Optane which improves SSD performance.
